Stellenbosch is a great starting point for a series of trips lasting several hours or entire day.
From the lovely city center, the artisan market, the many and various local shops, museum of typical houses of the past, the museum of miniature toys just to name a few.
Just outside the center of town a wide selection of Wine Farms with the possibility of tasting wine,  the visit of the cellars to see the ancient art of wine making.
Within walking distance of picturesque Franschoek, the ocean only 20km, Cape Town and all it can offer only a 45 minutes drive away, the penguins of Betty's Bay is reached through  a panoramic road,  during the season whales watching and more.
